Who am I and why am I here? Both valid questions, I guess. I started blogging in late 2003. Kevin “Velveeta” Cosgrove was looking for undecided voters to detail their thought process through the 2004 election. As a hard-core Limbaugh conservative, I’d voted for George W. Bush in 2000 while living in Arizona and I was fully behind him all the way through the Spring of 2003. A series of events, culminating in a Springsteen concert in Vancouver BC in April of 2003, sent me on a new path. The O-Live blog was a very cathartic experience for me.
I stayed at O-Live until last summer, writing both the Couv Operator blog and the Winter Hawks blog, now ably held down by Dylan B. I decided I wanted to go out on my own and see what happened.
And here I am.
While I live in Vancouver, I work down in Portland. The commute hasn’t been as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Of course I usually have the iPod going through the car stereo. When I’m not plotting world domination, you can find me cheering on the Portland Winter Hawks and the Man City Blues. And, God help me, the Arizona Cardinals. Life also stops for Wilco, Bruce Springsteen, and Casino.
