Shout-outs are in order for Gregg Drinnan and Dylan B. for linking to me the last day or two.

I’m with Gregg when he suggests a major clearing of the air is in order. It may be best if it’s Robison who takes the helm as I don’t believe either Goldsmith or Donovan have the credibility to pull such a moment off. Perhaps sometime in June or so, once the auditors finish their work and the league and the owners have a chance to plot their path forward. My only concern here is that to this point Robison seems to have taken J2’s side.  Last year, after getting a tour from Goldsmith and Donovan, Robison declared the Coliseum didn’t meet WHL standards.  This year he directed the team negotiate a more favorable lease.  He has yet to say anything we haven’t already heard from our illustrious owners.  What kind of leadership are we getting from Calgary?  That’s another question which should be answered this summer.

The time has come for something radically different.  It could be the consortium of former players Vondersmith mentioned this morning, or it could be Salem.  Or perhaps a Plan C.

You can check out my other Hawks related entries here and here.

I suspect I have seen my last Portland Winter Hawks game. It is sad to see. The Winter Hawks are some of the best family entertainment in Portland.
